Welcome! We are so, so grateful that you are here!
We're trusting that you have made a decision to follow Jesus and that He is Lord of your life. While we must always remain healthily curious and full of wonder; being transformed means that you are a new creation! It is acknowledging that you are a sinner. It is accepting that God sent his one and only son to this earth. Believing that He lived a perfect, sinless life and willingly gave his life on the cross to be the ultimate sacrifice for sin. He then rose from the grave, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. The acknowledgment, the profession that Jesus is the Messiah and the living out of this truth means that you have been transformed from the inside out. This transformation takes place because the Holy Spirit is guiding you to live out the desires of God the Father, because of the blood of Jesus. True transformation happens when you give your life to Jesus and allow him to completely remodel and restructure your life.
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 says,
"Either way, Christ's love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive this new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them."
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life has gone and a new life has begun! This process of transformation is not merely "adding" God to your life. It's when your life is completely changed from the inside out. The same way a house in ruins receives a full and complete makeover from the inside out; so do our lives receive a full and complete makeover when Jesus becomes the Lord of our life.
This transformation is a sign of being a new creation!
No, not being perfect, but producing "fruit" in keeping with repentance. The evidence of this transformation (fruit) and a life lived in the power of the Holy Spirit is found in Galatians 5:22-25.
In simple terms -- you believe in Jesus and have chosen to follow Jesus in a way that allows him to teach you what is true and right. Acknowledging that you are a sinner and being faithful and willing to repent and turn to the author and perfecter of our faith; Jesus. You believe the Bible is the infallible word of God and that "all scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." ~2 Timothy 3:16
We truly desire for those who call themselves "Christians" to be living in the full transforming power of Jesus Christ. The Bible says that the same power that rose Jesus from the grave is inside those of us who have accepted all Jesus has said and have made a commitment to follow Him! We believe it is right and healthy to truly know where you stand so that you can "know-that-you know" who Jesus is and the life He has called you to live.
"For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God's power." 1 Corinthians 4:20
"So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord, who is the Spirit, makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into his glorious image." 2 Corinthians 3:18
We encourage and challenge you as a fellow believer to live fully in Him and to share what Jesus has done in your own life! Our testimony is a powerful tool that God has given each of us. Revelation 12:11 says that "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..." Isn't that amazing?! That by the blood and of Jesus, bearing witness to the gospel and testimony of Jesus Christ and by the word of our testimony in Christ; we can triumph over Satan himself?!
A life lived by the transforming power of Jesus Christ is NOT life-less and/or powerless.
It is absolutely incredible, beautiful and the most powerful and freeing way to live on this earth.
